We’re pleased to congratulate Steve May, who won a Wacom Intuos5 pen tablet in the second phase of our Vectorworks: From Sketch to BIM project, which demonstrates how to transform a hand-drawn sketch into a Building Information Model (BIM). Members of the public can help determine the project’s scope by voting on key details for each of four phases. Their votes automatically enter them to win one of two tablets given away after each phase is completed.
May is an architectural technologist with Douglas Sollows Architect Inc., and he has been drafting since 2003. As an architectural technologist, he uses computer software from the beginning of his part in the process, as he takes designs created by architects and prepares the working drawings that are required for each project.
What are his thoughts on the Vectorworks: From Sketch to BIM project? “I am looking forward to seeing how the project is transformed into a BIM model,” he says, “and eventually using this program for our projects.”
