Several members of the Nemetschek Vectorworks team traveled across the pond in October to participate in some exciting events with our UK distributor, Computers Unlimited.
On October 1, we were proud to attend the BIM Academy seminar at Northumbria University in Newcastle. The theme was “BIM, Landscape Design and the Public Realm,” and Martyn Horne, Product Development Manager from Computers Unlimited, gave a presentation on landscape modeling. Other presenters included Claire Walker from Leeds Metropolitan University and ThinkBIM, Alastair McCapra from the Landscape Institute, Nicola Hill from Arup, and Anna Dekker from NBS.
Then, on October 4, the team traveled to Haberdashers’ Hall in London for the Vectorworks Annual Conference. Now in its 15th year, this event introduced Vectorworks 2013 software to users in the UK and includes presentations from AEC industry professionals, a “Meet the Engineers” session, and an opportunity for attendees to receive RIBA CPD continuing education credits. About 100 people attended the event.
“Once again our roadshow was a fantastic opportunity for Vectorworks users, key representatives from Nemetschek Vectoroworks, Inc., and Computers Unlimited to meet and discuss the latest developments within the Vectorworks software,” said Jacqui Smith, Group Marketing Manager at Computers Unlimited. “So many users said it was the best event ever with regard to content and providing a RIBA-certified workshop.”
The Vectorworks Annual Conference is a part of the Vectorworks Roadshow, which also includes events in Newbury, Glasgow, Bristol, Dublin, and Manchester. For a list of upcoming Vectorworks Roadshow events in the UK, click here.
