2012/08/09

Several Vectorworks users are among the 2012 best architects 13 Award winners, including two Swiss firms that earned top honors as Gold Award winners. This prestigious program, now in its seventh year, honors the best and most interesting projects on the architectural scene in German-speaking countries.

The 2012 best architects 13 Award program attracted a record number 352 submissions, of which 87 projects from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria were honored. Just nine earned Gold Awards. Winners labeled “best architects” are identified across six categories: residential, office and administration buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, public buildings, other buildings, and interiors. Those earning Gold Awards are recognized for their outstanding architectural achievement.

The first Vectorworks user to take Gold is architectural firm Graber Pulver Architects, Zurich AG in the “Public Works” category. The Swiss firm was recognized for the construction of the Ecole des Métiers EMF in Fribourg. Images of the project are available here.

Vectorworks user Niklaus Graber & Christoph Steiger Architekten also received a Gold Award. It was honored in the “Other Buildings” category for the Panorama Gallery Pilatus Kulm. Click here to view this Lucerne-based firm’s project.
